Google Event on October 29, Samsung Nexus 10 'Manta', Android 4.2, LG Nexus 4.

On October 29, Google will likely be announcing some new softwares as well as hardwares. Google is planning to widen their Nexus lineups. As everyone knows, the Nexus 7 by Asus and Google did a fantastic job just few months back only.

Next week, Google and Samsung is going to release a mystery tablet codenamed 'Manta'. An anonymous speaker from The Next Web told us that its going to whoop with a 10 inch screen with a 2560 x 1600 pixel as the screen resolution.

This Samsung made tablet is going to come with 300 ppi (pixel per inch) beating the Retina display of The New iPad. It's going to come with Android 4.2 pre installed. I am sure that its going to be called Ice Cream Sandwich and nothing new. Should just an update.

Nothing more than the display information was given out by the anonymous speaker.

On the hardware side, the LG Nexus 4 is being trending. Tonnes of pictures are leaked with a device running Android 4.2 and in conjunction with the new 32GB Nexus 7 which was spotted in the wild. It will come with the WiFi and HSPA+ flavours.

Apple Stores Now Selling iPhone 5 Casses And Screen Protectors

After Apple released the iPhone 5, many people thought that it was a huge downfall especially when they just bought a new accessory for the new iPhone. The iPhone 5 is longer and it comes with a lightning connector instead of the 30 pin dock connector.

9to5Mac is telling that Apple Stores are now starting to see cases for the iPhone 5. Since it's still a new process, you don't have a huge selection going on.

Besides that, Apple is also going to sell screen protectors. This is something new that Apple has done.

There are no details stating anything about the Lightning-compatible dock for the sixth generation iPhone. We still can hope for a homemade dock or just depend on a bunch of third-party manufactures to come up with some.

Change The Position Of Your Download Bar In iOS With 'DownloadMove'

If you're really a perfectionist on everything especially on your phone, this one little jailbreak tweak will help you to actually change the progress download bar when you're downloading any app.

This tweak is pretty simple and straight forward. You basically can change where the download bar is going to be when an app is downloading or updating.

You have few positions to set and you can access this menu under the Settings app and find 'DownloadMove'.

This jailbreak tweak is FREE and it is available under the BigBoss repo and a special thanks to the developer Smartviper E75

Ayecon for iPad | GeekIntoIt

If you guys have a jailbroken iPhone and possibly know about a Winterboard tweak named ayecon, it is making a move from the iPhone to the iPad.

So basically if you don't know what is ayecon is, it is a jailbreak tweak for the iPhone now the iPad. This tweak will completely change your stock app's icon as well as third-party icons and not forgetting it will also support few jailbreak apps.

ayecon is a huge success developed by the developer, Surenix which is pretty impressive. You can use ayecon for all the iPad(s) but if you want to take full advantage of the theme, it is best on the new iPad.

I cannot impress how much everyone would love this tweak. Even though it is $2.99, it is totally worth the money and it is a must to look and feel for yourself. If you bought this tweak for the iPhone previously, then you will have a discount of $1.99.

Like I said, I cannot appreciate enough about this tweak so I have a video from iDownloadBlog below here.

Prevent Google To Direct You To Country-Specific Google Version

So if you mainly use Google for work, or you just want to google your name every night, or you prefer getting answers internationally, you might prefer the main Google.com website. Anyway, if you're in a certain country, Google will automatically redirect you to that specific country's Google.com version for easier and faster search. For example, Google.de (Germany); Google.fr (France); Google.ca (Canada); Google.in (India)

If you always want to prevent this from happening, there is a trick to use. That is by typing this URL into the address bar.

http://www.google.com/ncr

You can either type this out every time or you can just set this as your homepage in your browser. 'NCR' stands for 'No Country Redirect'. Every time you use this URL you will go to the main Google.com page.

Note: As soon as you hit enter after the URL, the '/ncl' will disappear.

How To Get Google Play Store 3.8.16

Google and Android had released an app that is called Google Play Store. It basically replaces the current Android Market app.

This update has rolled out few months already now. But there are some Android phones that didn't get that update yet. So here is how to get that update and keep your phone rocking.

There are two ways to do this. First, maybe your current Android Market app still thinks that there is no update for its own app. So what you want to do is to completely close that app and start it up back. To do this, you must navigate to your Setting, then go to the place you can view all your applications (may vary depending on phones), then, find the Android Market app. Click that and clear the data.
Settings ---> Application ---> Android Market ---> Clear Data.
Now that you've cleared the app's data, go and open up the Market app. There will be a message saying that the Market app will now be upgraded to Google Play Store. If you didn't get that message, you have to download the Google Play Store from me. As of right this moment, the Google Play.apk is the latest version. I will update this post if Android roll out an update for this app.

Anyway,  after you have downloaded, put that apk file in your phone's SD Card and install it in your phone just like any other app. Just that when you're installing, your phone will recognise that app as a system file. Just proceed and you'll have Google Play Store.

Download : Google Play Store. (5.35 MB)

Windows 8 is going to be around in a couple more months or so. But if you want to make you desktop look like Windows 8, I have the final ingredient.

So, you've downloaded programs to tweak your desktop to look and feel like Windows 8. But what if that specific program doesn't change your icon to suit your theme.

Well, here I have the Windows 8 Icon Pack. You can click here to download it. It is a MediaFire link which directs you to the download.

If you don't know how to install these icons, allow me to guide you through.

  1. Download the icon pack here.
  2. Extract it.
  3. Now go to folder or application that you want to replace the icon.
  4. Right click the folder/application and go to properties.
  5. Go over the customize tab.
  6. Hit change icon.
  7. Now find for the Windows 8 icon where ever you extracted it.
  8. You're done.

That is all to it. Have fun with your new Windows 8 Icons...

NotiPad for iPad | Notifications Are Easier Now

I know that I'm a little late for this but here is my shot on the Jailbreak tweak, NotiPad.

So NotiPad is basically works like the Noticification Centre on iOS but NotiPad comes floating. Notifications will come through no matter where ever you are on your iPad. The main thing is its different and it is eye pleasing. You may think, while you're working and this pops-up. Just double tap it to get rid of it. Single tapping it will open up the specific application.

There is also quite a few stuffs you can do with it to tweak it to your likings.

This jailbreak tweak is on the ModMyI repo on Cydia and it is a dollar. I've not tried it in person but I still haven't got any negative reviews about this application. I think it is worth a dollar.

Watch NotiPad in action on iDownloadBlog's video.

HTC One Series Is Getting Jelly Bean Update!

HTC finally gave out the awesome spit of word that everyone has been impatiently waiting for. Yes. The HTC One X, XL and S is getting the Jelly Bean update. Or should I say, "Jelly Bean-ified"

HTC's Global Online Communications Manager, Jeff Gordon, said that its time to get their devices upgraded. Unfortunately, the One V was not on the list.

This update is just an OTA (over the air) update. So you might want to always check for updates every now and then to be the first one getting the latest version of Android.

What is Adf.ly?

So the first question you might ask when you are in my site is why I use Adf.ly service alot? Before I tell you why I use, let me tell you what it is?

So, Adf.ly is basically a link shortening service that let's you to earn money. That means, if people clicks a specific link that has been shortened by Adf.ly service, you will earn money. The more people clicks that link, the more money you will get. I'd recommend this service to everyone who usually blogs or they usually share alot of links.

The site it self is pretty straight forward. Click this to sign up and you can start to earn money in no time. All you have to do now is just take a long URL, paste it here and click the Shrink button. It will then shrink it into an adf.ly link. Just copy the adf.ly link and share it around.

After you earn certain amount of money, you can then withdraw them to your PayPal account.

When shortening you link, you will have few options. You can choose the any domain and Adf.ly offers. Advertising type and you can include a custom name for your URL. As for the advertising type, you will have 3 choices. Interstitial Advert: which basically make you more money. Framed banner: still makes you money but not as much as Interstitial option makes. And lastly, you have no advert. This option doesn't make you any money. The only reason if you want to use this option is to just use Adf.ly's shortening service but not make any money.

Click This Link to get started and earn some $$$.

Crop Photos Online With Cropp,me

If you ever wanted to just crop a photo and not wanting to open up a bulky application or software? You finally can. There is a webapp that allows you to crop any kind/size of photo.

Cropp.me is basically an auto cropping feature. Cropp.me is heck simple. You can upload 5 photos at once at any size. And then if uses its magic to crop your photo. It is also smart that if you put in an output size that doesn't match, it will crop based on that picture that can be cropped. But you can also manually adjust the ratio.

And you finally can download all the cropped pictures in a zip file to your computer.

Tech Awesomeness Is On Blogger Now

Hey guys. Tech Awesomeness was on Wordpress. Now it is shifted to Blogger. I have been a not a big fan, but I liked Wordpress. I was using Wordpress for like 2 weeks now, and I don't like it. I mean in terms of customization, I give it a face down. You will have to pay for a crappy theme and a sucky font. You can't really do much with the free version. Obviously, if you have like 80 bucks for the PRO version, you can deal with the tools and other tweaking stuffs. Plus I think you must pay another 30 bucks for the font and the CSS customization. I'm not sure the 30 bucks is with the 80 bucks thing or not.

That's why I made my way to Blogger. Plus, since Blogger is a part of Google, it is easier for me to manage it and keep an eye with my blog. Also I can keep track of my blog's stats. Not that I'm famous or anything, but I'm just telling you.

With Blogger you can get to choose different fonts, different templates and a whole lots of freaky tweaking.

Concept Interface for iOS 6

In three days time, Apple is announcing their World Wide Developers Conference (WWDC). There also few Apple products that are getting refurbished. But, the main thing is that the new iOS (iOS 6) is confirmed to be released at the conference.

The new iOS concept designer, JOOST VAN DER REE from MacStories had released a video on probably the new iOS.6.

[youtube=http://www.youtube.com/watch?feature=player_embedded&v=dMi6Si4nN4k]

So based in this video, you will get a mission control. It is sorta like in the OS X Lion. Image

To activate the Mission Control, you just swipe up the bottom of the screen. You can scroll down through the mission control to see your recent apps. I think this is going to replace the Multitasking feature. But even it is, it'd be cool and easier for the iPhone users.

The notification centre also gets a new feel. Usually when you bring down the notification centre, you will have a transparent background. With iOS 6, when you pull down the notification centre, the background will move along. It is kinda similar with the jailbreak tweak which I can't remember the name. Image

The app badge is also cool. Lets say you've got notifications in your messages, just tap on it and you can get a brief look at the message. I have a feeling that it is going to be annoying, Image

I think this is just a few. I am really looking forward to see more cool stuffs on iOS 6.
